What is 14K Gold
We use 14k solid gold to create all our jewelry (not gold plated jewelry). Since gold is an eternal metal that does not lose value over the years as well as its natural qualities, we try to use recycled gold for our jewelry, thereby contributing to a reduction in the extraction of planet resources.
Our objective is to help diminish the negative impacts of dirty gold by reducing the demand for newly mined metals. We also encourages our customers to recycle their own gold and platinum jewelry that they no longer wear.
Solid gold is It keeps its shape perfectly and practically does not deform. Also, this precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor since it is the least reactive metal. The 14k alloy gives our pieces their beautiful, subtle hue. It is also an active lifestyle’s best friend; it scratches less and doesn’t bend or wear out as easily as 18k.
What does 14k solid gold mean?
It is very easy to arrive at a percentage for the gold content in a 14K (18, 20, 22К) piece. Just divide the karat number of the item (in our case, 14) by 24, which is the maximum karat possible, and you get 58.3%, which is how much gold 14K jewelry contains. 14-karat gold is made by mixing pure gold with copper, nickel, zinc, etc. These non-gold metals are added to make the alloy more durable than pure gold, which is very soft.
